Wedding signs and stationery
Brides-to-be have a pretty decent idea of how they want their special day to look. In fact, if they’re anything like me, their Pinterest board has been stuffed full of inspiration since they created their account in 2012.
The flowers? Check. Cake topper? Check. Dress? Check. Engagement rings and wedding bands? Absolutely.
Signage and printed products are accounted for, too.
Nowadays, a “welcome” sign is placed by the door. The seating arrangement is placed on an easel or table. Each table is labeled with a number. The guest book and favor tables also have signage.
Another aspect that shouldn’t be ignored is the stationery.
Although a lot of wedding planning now takes place online instead of on paper (thank you, The Knot), the usage of stationery in the form of save-the-dates and invitations is still prevalent.
There are several uses for wedding signs and stationery. They encapsulate the style of the bride and groom, whether that be classic, formal, boho, or casual.
Several wedding signage materials to choose from
Coroplast
As there are many different wedding styles, so too are there many materials from which to choose. Each couple is unique, and thus deserves to have what they wish!
For smaller signage solutions, such as exterior wayfinding signs, the best option is to utilize corrugated plastic (also known as coroplast). Mostly made out of polypropylene, coroplast contains “fluted” material sandwiched between two pieces of plastic.
Corrugated coroplast signage solutions are perfect for temporary exterior uses. Technical wording aside, you’ve definitely seen coroplast in action through yard signs.
Coroplast’s fluted structure allows for flexible installation. The cheapest and shortest-term assembly is through economy stakes. Measuring 10” x 30”, economy stakes are made from 9-gauge steel. Simply stick the top end of the stake into the flutes, and the bottom into the ground, and voila! You’re all set.
We recently printed some exterior wayfinding signage out of corrugated coroplast that goes along with the newlyweds-to-be’s style:

With our large format digital printer, we were able to print directly onto the corrugated plastic for a timeless look, on both the front and back. The next step is to add stakes so that the signage may be placed accordingly.
Foam board
Foam boards typically consist of polystyrene foam placed between two facing materials, such as paper, that are easily printed upon.
Most foam board signage solutions are larger than that of a coroplast yard sign but still serve a great purpose. In wedding terms: the guest seating arrangement.
Just as important as creating the seating arrangement itself, the display clearly depicts who sits where. Wedding guests can easily walk up to the board, find their name, then sit at the corresponding table.
The seating arrangement must also be displayed in the same style as any other signage used for the celebration. Check out the seating chart we printed on foam board:

As you can see, the same floral arrangement is found at the top, as well as the same font and color scheme. The two signs complement each other, much like the bride and groom!
Wedding stationery
Laser printed stationery is vibrant, high-quality, and makes a statement. Using sustainable inks and processes, the colors pop, regardless of the paper product.
And, with printing speeds of 100 pages per minute and 250,000 pages per month, turnaround time is faster.
Wedding planning follows a strict schedule; once the large items are checked off the list (like venue, photographer, catering, etc.), save-the-dates are next in line. It’s normal to feel as if you’re running behind.
That’s why a fast turnaround time is such a big deal. The quicker the high-quality stationery is placed in your hands, the faster you can check save-the-dates and invites off your list. It’s a win for everyone!
